Competition (5 of Teeth)
Shortage is the ideology of competition and rivalry. They are caused by necessity and the lack of resources and raw materials. Competition makes enemies out of friends and costs both rivals a lot of senseless energy. In the contest I try to trump my competition and not show any weakness – there’s only a prize for the winner, and the loser gets nothing. Competition can motivate me to maximum performance so that I don’t go under. Pressure to perform and stress are unavoidable competition situations and overload my body and my soul. But with all rivalry there are also similarities. We define mutual goals and overcome the shortage through intelligent allocation. The energy of rivalry is no longer wasted, but becomes free to develop new sources. This way we realize the efficient use of mutual energies. My survival is secured through symbiosis and cooperation.
